Essay-strukturen

Introduction:

• Hook (fang opmærksomhed)
• Background information
• Thesis statement (din centrale påstand)

"Every year, millions of people suffer from online bullying. This is not just a personal problem — it is a societal crisis that requires urgent action. This essay argues that social media companies must take greater responsibility for content on their platforms."

Body paragraphs (2-4 stykker):

Hvert afsnit = ét argument:

1. Topic sentence (afsnittets pointe)

2. Evidence/explanation (bevis og forklaring)

3. Example (konkret eksempel)

4. Link back til thesis

Conclusion:

• Restate thesis (ny formulering)
• Summarise arguments
• Final thought/recommendation

Nyttige connectives

Adding: Furthermore, In addition, Moreover, Also

Contrasting: However, On the other hand, Although, Despite

Cause/effect: Therefore, As a result, Consequently, Due to

Example: For example, For instance, Such as, Namely

Conclusion: In conclusion, To sum up, Overall, In summary

Formelt sprogregister

• Undgå forkortelser: do not (ikke don't)
• Undgå I think, I believe — brug It can be argued that...
• Brug passiv: "It has been shown that..."
